  The purpose of this workshop is to introduce the participants in the use of the GLOBAL HISTORY NETWORK (GHN) launched by IEEE recently.

  The IEEE Global History Network (GHN) intends to be the world’s premier site for the documentation, analysis and explanation of the history of electrical, electronic, and computer technologies, the scientists, engineers and business people who made these technologies happen, and on the history of the organizations to which these men and women belonged.

  The program of the workshop will include:

1. The Global History Network – the wiki-based   encyclopedia on the web, covering technical & historical items and personal accounts:

a. Overview – mission and purpose

b. Structure

c. Topic articles

d. Personal Histories

2. "Hands-on" search and uploading of information on the GHN.

3. Summary and future activities.
